Walter Neal Locke

November 23, 1950 — March 17, 2021

Walter Neal Locke, 70, a lifelong resident of Benton, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2021, surrounded by his loving family at home.

He held a dual membership with Reliance 636 and Ocoee 212 Masonic Lodge.  He was a Past-Master, Master Mason and instructor.  Mr. Locke loved to fish, farm and bask in the glow of a good fire with friends and family.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents, James Orville “Red” and Amanda Blackwell Locke; ten siblings, Bill Locke, Eugene Locke, Milburn Locke, Leonard Locke, Clifton Locke, Clifford Locke, Aaron Locke, Raymond Locke, Betty Sue Locke and Mary Lou Hopkins.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Betty Joe Locke; beloved children, Tresea (Kevin) Green and Michael (Gloria) Locke; five grandchildren, Korey (Ashley) Green, Kole Green, Just Green, Izac Locke and Jake Locke; brother, Fred (Joy) Locke; sister, Jerry Lynn (Bill) Davis; four great-grandchildren, Konnor Green, Kellan Green, Karson Green and Kannon Green; best-buddy “other son”, Chuck McDonald; countless nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Reliance Masonic Lodge 636, 3298 HWY 30, Reliance, TN  37369 or Ocoee Masonic Lodge 212, P.O. Box 1025, Benton, TN  37307.
