Walter Junior "June Bug" Hicks

Walter Junior “June-Bug” Hicks, 85, of Reliance, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  He was employed as a painter with the Painter’s Union and dedicated his life to his beloved wife and daughter’s. 

Junior was born on February 26, 1935 to the late Mary Lou “Venie” and William Walter Hicks.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Jean Allen Hicks; siblings, Roy Hicks, Elmer Hicks, Wilford Hicks, Myrtle Dobbs and Imagene O’Neal.

Survivors include his loving daughter’s, Rita Hicks and Greta Sue (Ted) Englund; sister, Ida Sue (Frank) Caudill; cousin, Frankie Hicks.

A private Celebration of Life graveside service will be held at Campground Cemetery.
