Vivian Lea Wilson

November 8, 1932 — May 23, 2022

Vivian Lea (Combs) Wilson, 89, of Ocoee, TN., departed this life peacefully on May 23, 2022, at her home with her daughter, Kathleen, by her side.

Vivian was born in Washington, PA., on November 8, 1932, to James and Florence (Bowland) Combs.  She was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters and her first-born child, Billy Don Wilson, Jr. (48) of Bowersville, GA.  She was a member of the Methodist faith.

Vivian worked for 40 years in Healthcare and Human resources, retiring at age 85 from a 17-year career as an Administrative Assistant/Court Clerk for the Jackson County Georgia Juvenile Court System.  She loved gardening with a special talent with lilies, irises, and peonies, and loved to travel.  Vivian also liked to read, work jigsaw puzzles, sketch and color landscapes and architecture, and play board games.  At different times in her life, she baked wedding cakes, applied make-up for a local theatre Troupe and sold cosmetics for an independent company.

Vivian’s greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was a loving mother and an adoring grandmother.  She is survived by three of her children, Mitchell Wilson (65) of Hoschton, GA., Barbara Wilson-Smith (67) of Louisville, KY., and Kathleen (Kathy) Wilson (63) of Ocoee, TN.; six grandchildren, Jessica Wilson, Craig Goldsmith, Jennifer Wilson-Johnson, Billy Goldsmith, Brittany Wilson, and Billy Don Wilson III; four great-grandchildren, Zachary Shuman, Ryland Johnson, Charlee Johnson, and Kashton Goldsmith.  Vivian also leaves behind her sister, Shirley (Combs) Scheuermann and brother-in-law, Henry Scheuermann of Cleveland, OH.; her brother, James Sikora and her beloved nephew, Thomas Sikora and his wife, Marilyn, of Washington, PA.; as well as a very large and loving extended family.  Vivian had many friends throughout her life, and she loved them all.  Of special importance to her, were Betty Miller (Hoschton, GA.), Jane Turner, and Robert Wiechman.
