Ted Eugene “Pig” Wilson, Jr., 58, of Benton, TN, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 15, 2021.
Pig was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and touched many people throughout his life. He was a 1981 graduate of Polk County High School and lettered in football for the Wildcats. Mr. Wilson was a truck driver for US Xpress for 37 years and enjoyed collecting antiques and gardening. He always had the gift to gab and was very patriotic.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Chris Wilson.
Pig is survived by his beloved wife of twelve years, Carol Wilson; children, Jackson (Harley) Wilson, Aiden Wilson, and Nikita (Mark) Hall; parents, Ted and Linda Wilson; siblings, Hank Wilson and Heidi (Matthew) McKeown; grandchildren, Zaylie Hall, Josiah Jack and Lucas Morgan; nieces and nephews, Daniel Taylor, Cody Wilson, Wyatt (Katie) Wilson, Rachael McKeown, Garrett McKeown, Isabelle McKeown; great nephew, Chase Wilson; great niece, Eleanor Wilson. Many loving friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Higgins Funeral Home of Benton. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Benton Memorial Gardens with Jackson Wilson, Hank Wilson, Ted Wilson, Sr., Wyatt Wilson, Matt McKeown, and Lee Harrison serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Hall, Austin Taylor, David Wilson, and Darrell Bates.
His family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
