Ramona King

Ramona F. Rice King, 66, of Cleveland, departed this life peacefully on August 30, 2022.

She was born on October 30, 1955, to James W. “Billy” and Leota Stinnett Rice.  Throughout life, she was a skilled pianist and organist at several local churches.

Ms. Ramona enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be deeply missed by those who were blessed to have known her.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alfred and Stella Mae Stinnett, and J.C. and Attie Rice; father-in-law, William D. “WD” King; aunts and uncles, Marvin Stinnett, Evelyn Stinnett, Jerry Stinnett, Paul Stinnett, Lucille Shipman, Paul Rice Sr., Mary Jane Kinser, and Ernest Ray; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Wheeler King, William “Billy” King, and Brenda King.

Left to cherish the many memories include her husband, David Andrew King; beloved parents, Billy and Leota Rice; sister, Rhonda (Tom) Jolley; mother-in-law, Patty A. King; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rocky (Angie) King, Wendel (Tammy) King, Winston (Tresa) King, Chris (Laken) King, Valerie Lankford, Linda (Kenneth) Mitchell, Donna King, Dewitt (Cindy) King, Jimmy (Sue) King, and Raymonda King; aunts and uncles, Betty Ray, Billy (Drucilla) Stinnett, A.J. (Shirlyn) Stinnett, W.L. Shipman, Clara Stinnett, Barbara Rice, and Pat Kinser; niece and nephew, Meagan Jolley, and Joshua (Lauren) Jolley.  Numerous extended family members and a host of special friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, with Pastor David Evans officiating.  Interment will follow at Benton Memorial Gardens with Rocky King, Chris King, Wendel King, Winston King, Luke Skipper, Anthony Caputo, and Cameron Shelton serving as pallbearers.

Family and friends will gather from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
