Lecia Mae Hedden Colley, 86, of Reliance, departed this life peacefully on June 10, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family at the family residence.
She was born on May 17, 1938, in Coker Creek, Tennessee, to the late William L. and Millie Dalton Hedden.
Throughout life, Lecia loved the Lord with all her heart, and always would spread the love of God to every person that she encountered. She was the founder of Women of Righteous Destination, Lost Creek House of Prayer, and her radio ministry, “Biblical Truths with Lecia Colley.” Ms. Colley also sang with the Calvary Singers and was a faithful, caring, and devout mother to her children.
In addition to her parents, William and Millie Dalton Hedden, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Herbert B. Colley; her first-born child, Vicki Rymer; father of her children, Bobby Stiles; siblings, Ruth Garrett, Edith Newton, Peggy Presswood, Evelyn Mason, and Doug Hedden.
Left to cherish the many memories include her loving children, William Stiles, Bobbie Stiles, Candy (Alex) Satterfield, and Samuel Stiles; siblings, Joe (Sybil) Hedden, and Dean (Betty) Hedden; son-in-law, Dwight (Vicki) Rymer (Melody); ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless number of friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Lost Creek House of Prayer, with Rev. Andy Bell, Rev. Johnny Wilcox and Rev. Glen Styles officiating. Interment will follow at the Stiles-Colley Family Cemetery in Reliance, with Sam Stiles, David Green Jr., Alex Satterfield, Dewey Dalton, Mark Hedden, and Isaiah Brown serving as pallbearers.
Family and friends will gather from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service at the church.
“We Walk and Pray asking God to destroy the walls that Satan has formed around this generation of children, so that they now and in the future will have the right to speak the name of Jesus.”
