Janice L. McClelland, a beloved mother, nana, sister, departed this life peacefully on August 6, 2022, with her family at her side.
Janice was born on March 7, 1958, in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Lester Bud and Vera Joyce Judd Haulk.
A few of her fondest memories included singing, mountain rides, bird watching, and helping others. Janice retired from Whirlpool after 27 years of dedicated service.
In addition to her parents, Lester and Vera Haulk, she was preceded by her infant daughter, Jamie Newberry; brother, Lynn Kersey; nephew, Aaron Haulk; and stepfather, Daul Haulk.
Left to cherish the many memories include her beloved daughter, Amber (Thomas) Parrish; loving grandchildren, Chandler (Angel) Ingram, Nicholas Sherrill, and Macie Ramsey; two brothers, Thomas (Nellie) Haulk, and Andy (Tammy) Haulk; one sister, Levieta (Reed) Haulk Freeman; six nieces and nephews, four great nieces and nephews, and one great-great-nephew.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home, with Pastor Carl Haulk officiating. Interment will follow at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery with Chandler Ingram, Thomas Parrish, Nicholas Sherrill, Clyde Oaks, Caleb Haulk, Caleb Haney, Jeffery Haulk, Billy Johnson, and Hunter Ingram serving as pallbearers.
Family and friends will gather from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
