James B. “Jimmy” Sanislo, 49, of Ocoee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2020.
He was of the Baptist faith and an employee at Newcomb Springs of Tennessee for 25 years. Jimmy was a beloved father, son and friend who was an avid outdoor enthusiast. While being outdoors, he loved hunting, fishing and kayaking. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and will be missed by all who knew him.
James was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rosser Summers; his step-grandfather, Winston Newton and grandmother, Beulah (Summers) Newton and one uncle, Gary Sanislo.
He is survived by his beloved children, Julie Sanislo, Nicholas Sanislo, Tiffany (Robert) Johnson; loving parents, Bill and Juanita Sanislo; sister, Jamie (Sanislo) Hedding; girlfriend, Robin Lewis; adored grandchildren, Deniese Bowers, Peyton Johnson, Rylan Johnson and Isabella Johnson; uncles, Walter (Flora) Summers, Steve Sanislo, Larry (Donna) Sanislo, Dennis (Teresa) Sanislo and David Sanislo; aunts, Juda (James) Peter, Elsa Gabriel, Patty Clark, Mona Hubbard and Evelyn (Andy Shelfer) Nemec; nephews, Ian Hedding and Trent Hedding and seventeen close cousins.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2020 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with his son-n-law, Robert Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Boanerges Baptist Church Cemetery.
His family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2020 and from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Monday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
