Glenda Bonnie Rogers, 77, of Benton, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was of the Baptist faith. Glenda owned and operated Ocoee River Rats which was founded in 1985. She was a dear friend to the entire Ocoee River rafting community. Glenda loved spending time with her family and friends and adored her precious grandchildren.
Glenda was born on September 18, 1943, to the late Henry and Myrtle Bishop.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, June Bagwell.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 60 years, Kinzle Rogers; loving children, Kenny Rogers, Christy (Jim) Ellis, Melissa (Shorty) Rogers and Jason Rogers; grandchildren, Keegan (Lauren) Rogers, Karissa Rogers, Kassie (Seth) Trimble, Heath Ellis, Heather (Dylan) Davis, Sam Rogers, Tyler Rogers and Kelsey Rogers; great-grandchildren, Matthew Rogers, Brantley Rogers, Peyton Rogers and Brayden Rogers; siblings, Tommy Garlin Bishop and Mary (Ardel) Harris. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Daniel White officiating. Her family will serve as pallbearers.
