Carolyn Bennett

July 16, 1949 — December 6, 2020

Carolyn Sue Bennett (Blackwell), age 71, passed away Sunday, December 6th, 2020 peacefully in her home in Etowah, Tennessee.

She was a long-time member of Glade Road Baptist Church in Acworth, GA.  She was a strong Christian, loved Jesus and believed in sharing her faith with everyone.  Mrs. Carolyn Bennett worked for Lockheed Martin for several years as an Executive Assistant. She also attended North Metro Technical College, receiving multiple certificates.  She will always be remembered for her love in Jesus and the love she had for her family.

Mrs. Carolyn Bennett was born July 16th, 1949 in Liberty, North Carolina to the late Edith Hamby Blackwell and Oscar Blackwell.

In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Steven Bennett and sister, Judy Silva.

Mrs. Carolyn Bennett is survived by her children, Pamela (Kenneth) Howell of Etowah, TN and Timothy Bennett of Woodstock, GA; two grandchildren, Shelby Bennett and Alisha Raines; three great-grandchildren, Amber Evans, Gavyn Raines and Aidan Raines; two sisters, Sandy Pickin of Marietta, GA and Wilma Jenkins of Waleska, GA and several nieces and nephews.  She will be missed by all that knew her.

A Celebration of life will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery on December 16th, 2020 at 2:30 p.m.
