Bettie Ann McKnight Presswood, 80, of Benton, departed this life peacefully on June 11, 2022, with her family at her side.
She was born on May 6, 1942, in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late John P. and Velma Ownbey McKnight. Throughout life, Ms. Bettie developed a love and passion for crafting, including quilting and embroidering. She was a talented lady that was loved by all who knew her and in her later years enjoyed coloring, jig-saw puzzles, reading, and was an avid shopper. A friend to many, Ms. Bettie loved spending time with her friends and family and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, John and Velma McKnight, she was preceded by her beloved husband, Burch A. Presswood; siblings, Jackie McKnight and Ronnie Lee McKnight; mother and father-in-law, Joe and Audie Presswood.
Left to cherish the many memories include her beloved son, Robert Presswood; sister, Marilyn Martin; niece, Sherrell Gargala; grandchildren, Trevor Welch, Tyler Welch, and Briley Allmon; siblings, C.J. (Janet) McKnight and Tony McKnight. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Family and friends will gather from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Higgins Funeral Home of Benton, prior to the graveside service.
