James Harold Wiley

James Harold Wiley, born September 25, 1927 passed away peacefully August 17, 2010 at his home in Oak Ridge, TN. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served with the 5th Calvary Regiment in Japan during WWII. Mr. Wiley was retired from Union Carbide after 41 years of loyal service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Howard Wiley and his parents, Tommy and Kate Wiley and three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by daughters, Mrs. Robert (Dea) Jones of Clinton, Mrs. William (Barbara) Hitch of Benton, Mrs. C.W. (Susan) Story of Nashville, Mrs. Tadhg (Patty) Hart of Clinton and grandchildren, Melanie Harbison of Cleveland, Greg Howell of Oak Ridge, Michael Hitch, Matt Hitch, Marc Hitch all of Cleveland and Ian Phillips of Knoxville as well as six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Katherine Cook of Oak Ridge and Nell Hooker of Norris. Private graveside services were held at Benton Memorial Gardens in Benton, Tennessee.
