Miles Tommy Headen

Miles Tommy Headen, 71, of Reliance, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 in a local hospital. He was self-employed as a mechanic. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Lake Wales, FL. Miles loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and working with his mules. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, James M. and Lecia Wright Headen; paternal grandparents, Riley and Mary Jane Goforth Headen; maternal grandparents, Poley and Ellen Honeycutt Wright; and sister, Barbara Maxine Headen Bruce. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Starks Headen of Reliance; daughter, Lisa Ann Headen Weatherly of Reliance; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Ernest F, Headen and family of Brandon, FL; sister, June Elaine Headen Brown and family of McCaysville, GA; and all his nieces and nephews that he loved very much. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Old Fairview Cemetery. Family and friends are to meet at 11:00 a.m. at Camp McCroy on Hwy. 30 for the procession to the cemetery.
