Benjamin Couey

Benjamin Franklin Couey, Jr., 37, a resident of Benton, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012 at his home. He was a member Welcome Valley Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother, Deva Bates Jones, and step father, Doug Jones of Benton; wife, Belinda Goforth Couey; and four children: LaShawn, Nathaniel, Amethyst, and Patrick Couey. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m., Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Charles Moore and the Reverend Paul Gregg officiating. Interment will follow at Archville Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 ~ 4:00 P.M. Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the funeral home prior to the service. Higgins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
