Robbie Willson Rogers

June 17, 1920 — October 16, 2012

Robbie Willson Rogers, 92, a resident of Benton, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at her home. She was an active member of Zion Baptist Church in Missions Organizations. She served as W.M.U. Director for Zion as well as the Polk Baptist Association for many years. She taught the adult women in Sunday school and was the church organist and pianist. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Woodrow Rogers; parents, Robert and Annie Hibberts Willson and siblings, Ruth Steel, Beulah Willson, Veda Rogers, Leta Boyd, Grace Thomas and Bill Willson. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Wilson and Judy Rogers of Benton, Joan and Fred Bryson of Cleveland, Danny and Judy Rogers of Benton and Shelia and Tim Rogers of Benton; twelve grandchildren and their spouses; Brian Rogers, Russell and Teresa Rogers, Leslie and Chris Peak, Michelle and Jeff Ward all of Benton, Freddie and Karen Bryson of Cleveland, Cheryl and Ian Lyles of Alexandria, VA, Ann Rogers, Denise And Kenny Longley, Michael and Michelle Rogers all of Cleveland, Mark and Elisha Rogers of Etowah, Daniel Rogers and Ashleigh Rogers both of Benton;18 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren and brother, Richard Willson of Cleveland. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Zion Baptist Church with Reverend W.L. Shipman, Reverend David Peters and Reverend Kurt Benson officiation. Grandson's will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 19, 2012 in Zion Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Zion Baptist Church prior to the service. The family requests the memorial donations made to the Zion Baptist Church Organ Fund or Missions, 953 Parksville Rd.
