Gene Guinn

Gene Guinn, 61, of Delano, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from injuries received in a trucking accident. He was a 1969 graduate of Polk County High School. Gene was a truck driver. He attended Chestuee Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Warren Guinn and Gwendolyn Ellis Guinn Cross. Gene is survived by his wife, Judy Goins Guinn of Delano; daughter, Tracy Rose of Ocoee; son, Tim Rose of Delano; sister, Harriett Maynor and husband, Johnny of Benton; two nieces, Johnna and Raegan; and his dog, Chance. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2013 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Gary Moats officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Benton Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
