Joey Goforth

Joey Goforth, 37, of Reliance, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013. He was a lineman with TVA and a member of Archville Baptist Church. Joey enjoyed life, spending time with his son, riding motorcycles and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John D. Goforth; grandmother, Lennie Hughes; and uncle, Bill Hughes. Survivors include his parents, Mona and Larry Goforth of Reliance; son, Christian Goforth of Reliance; sister, Ramona Price of Delano; niece, Madison Price of Delano; grandmother, Etta Bee Goforth of Reliance; and grandfather, Dave Hughes of Farner. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2013 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Wilfred Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Archville Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
