Betty Lillard Doddy

Betty Lillard Doddy, 83, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in a local healthcare facility. She was retired from Bell South with 35 years of service. A native of Polk County, she spent 53 years in Florida and the past seven years in Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Garland Lillard, Sr. and Edith Higdon Lillard; sister, Jerry Lillard Smith; and husband, H.M. Love, Jr.. She is survived by her brother, William Garland Lillard, Jr (Jeri) of GA; sister, Jeannine Scott (Bobby) of Cleveland; stepdaughter, Erin Soland of SC; nephews and nieces, Chris Smith of Florida, Bill Lillard (Rose) of NC, Sandee Vest of Cleveland and Jane Rollins of Benton; and great nephews and nieces, Scott and Hunter Vest, Max and Jake Smith, Ashley Painter (Brian), and Caden Painter. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 in Benton Cemetery with Dr. Robbie Speights officiating. Higgins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
