James Wilfred Prince

James "Wilfred" Prince, age 88, a lifelong resident of Benton, TN, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014, in a Cleveland healthcare facility. He retired from Hardwick Stove after 35 years of service. He enjoyed raising calves and trading at the stock barn. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harley and Alma Davis Prince; step-mother, Bessie Prince; son, Doyle Prince; sisters, Airlene Prince and Carrie Dutton. He is survived by his wife, Lois Prince; daughters, Sharon (Julian) Botts of Cleveland, TN, Jenell (Jack) Williams of Riceville, TN; granddaughters, Julie (Nathan) Sampley of Ooltewah, TN, Jill Williams of Riceville, TN; great grandchildren, Falon and Mason Sampley. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Carl Caffrey officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Delano Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014 at the funeral home prior to the service.
