Chloey L. Floyd, 77, a lifelong resident of Polk County passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at a Cleveland healthcare facility. She was born September 21, 1937 and was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Her family was everything to her. Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her husband, James "Bozo" Floyd and her parents, Rev. I. J. and Myrtle Freeman. She is survived by her daughters and spouses; Angelia and James Tatum, Debra and Tommy Wilcox, Pam and Neil Spence; son and spouse, Michael and Shelly Ledford Floyd; grandchildren, Jason Wilcox, Mark and Melissa Wilcox, Emily Hartigan, Nicholas Spence, Chloey Tatum; great grandchildren, Thomas Williams and Ayden Hartigan; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Higgins Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 in the chapel of the funeral home with Dr. Neil Spence and Reverend Joel Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at Benton Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
