Franklin Delano Lewis

Frank Delano Lewis, 77, of Benton, born in to this world on April 7, 1938, was received into his heavenly home on Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Bradley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was retired from Simpson Construction Company and was also a self-employed construction worker later in his life. He was a member of the United States Army where he received an Honorable Discharge. After his retirement he enjoyed helping his nephew on the farm. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Benton. He was preceded in death by his parents, John "Tupper" Lewis and Elizabeth Jane Padgett Lewis; brothers, Oliver "Gene" Lewis, J.T. Lewis and James, "Jimmy" Lewis; sisters, Mary Ellen Lewis Moore and Betty Lewis; several nieces and nephews. He is survived by his brothers, Houston Lewis and wife Brenda of Knoxville and Larry "Diddle" Lewis and wife, Brenda of Benton; special nephew John Lewis of Benton; special niece and caregiver, Deanne Moore; several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2015 in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Harold Firestone officiating.
