James B. Cronan

James B. "Jim" Cronan, 73, of Benton, TN passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Skyridge Medical Center in Cleveland, TN. He loved the outdoors and fishing. He was a big wrestling fan and enjoyed watching westerns, especially John Wayne movies. He was preceded in death by his parents Gussie Cross Cronan and Buck Cronan; brothers, Glenn Cross, Charles "Bose" Cronan and William "Snowball" Cross. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth Cronan; sons, Jeff Cronan of Cleveland, TN, James "Buck" Cronan of Benton, TN; daughters, Ashley (Mitchell) Rynbrand of Cleveland, TN, Melinda (Trevor) Kilgore of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Daniel Williams, Emily and Lauren Rynbrand, Zion Maxwell, Christina Kilgore; sister, Sally (Dewayne) Bigham of Cleveland, TN; special niece Betty, her husband and best friend Kenneth Burger of Delano, TN; best friend, Wilbert "Hubie" Perian of Benton, TN. Several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2015 at Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Floyd Boggess officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2015 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home.
