Kenneth A. Ratcliff Kenneth A. Ratcliff, age 87, of Old Fort, passed away Sunday morning, October 18, 2015, at a local healthcare facility. The son of the late Ernest and Susie Burns Ratcliff, he was native and lifelong resident of Polk County. Mr. Ratcliff was retired from Armstrong Carpets and attended Ball Play Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Ratcliff; sisters, Mildred Guinn and Yvonne Waters. He is survived by children, Michael Ratcliff and wife Kathy of Delano, Sandra Hawkins and husband Milburn of Old Fort, and Boyd "Lynn" Ratcliff of Old Fort; grandchildren, Brandon Ratcliff, Brian Hawkins, Lora Cannon, and Chasey Parrish; six great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Dills of Tennga, and brother, Carroll Ratcliff of Old Fort. Several other extended family members also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2015, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Brother Matthew Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Ball Play Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home.
