Millard T. Owenby, 69, a resident of Athens, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his; parents, William Claude Owenby Sr. and Ola Pearl Owenby Cline; sister, Mary Sue Owenby; brothers, Ervin Owenby and Lester Owenby.
Survivors include his daughter, Libby (Curtis) Lee; grandchildren, Dawson, Cameron, Emily, Sean, Ryan and Darren Lee; brother, William Owenby of Athens, TN; sisters, Ruby Patty of Chatsworth, GA and Lucille Neeper of Florida. A host of very special friends also survive.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Richard Mason officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the funeral home.
