Edward Lee Prater

Edward Lee Prater, 56, of Cleveland, TN and native of Polk County, TN passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at his residence.  He was a 1977 graduate of Polk County High School.

He was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force.  He had worked at Magic Chef, construction and resort sales during a portion of his life.  He loved to read and was of the Baptist faith.

He was born in Cleveland, TN on August 29, 1959 and was the son of the late George and Elsie Elliott Prater.  He was also preceded in death by four siblings; infant sisters Nancy Carolyn Prater, Elsie Loretta Prater and adult siblings George Prater, Jr. and Juanita Carden. 

He is survived by his sisters; Patsy (Charlie) Bowers of Crandall, GA, Mary (James) Woody of Benton, TN and Wanda (Wayne) Lethco of Calhoun, TN.  Several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Antioch Baptist Church in Benton, TN.
