Edd Lee Shelton

Edd Lee Shelton, 70, of the Pinhook Community in Polk County, TN passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at his residence. He was a creative inventor, loved to tinker and a true outdoorsman. 

He was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church and retired from Johns Manville. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Irene Patterson Shelton and brother, Melvin Shelton, Jr. 

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandra Ward Shelton; children, Tina Shelton of Cleveland, TN and Troy Shelton, Calhoun, TN.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Floyd Boggess and Reverend Earl Gentry officiating.  Interment will follow in Delano Cemetery.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.    

The family will receive friends from 6:00 –8:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home.
