Inez Mikel Frady, age 91, of Old Fort, passed away on Sunday morning, November 5, 2017, at Tennova Healthcare of Cleveland. Born on August 27, 1926, she was the daughter of the late L.E. and Louisa Albritton Mikel and a native and lifelong resident of Polk County. She loved sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family and was a longtime member of Blue Ridge Temple Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Olen Leon Frady, and several siblings.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry D. and Monica E. Frady of Madisonville, Kim D. and Judy Frady of McDonald; grandchildren, Tiffany Frady of Maryville, Marc and Jenny Frady of Wears Valley, Jonathan and Abbey Frady of Calhoun, GA, Kelley Frady of Benton; one great-grandchild, Lovie Frady; sister, Lillie Mantooth of Old Fort. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Brother Terry Webb and Brother Leroy Elliott officiating. Interment will follow in Dill Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5:00p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 and again one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to consider memorial contributions to Blue Ridge Temple Baptist Church Youth Department, Dill Cemetery Fund, or the Valley View Baptist Storehouse.
