Eric C. Jones

Eric C. “Little Man”, Jones, 32, of Benton, departed this life on June 22, 2023, at his mother's home.

He was born on January 2, 1991, in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Duncan E. Jones and his mother, Sharleen Hewitt Jones Wall.

Eric was previously a volunteer for the West Polk County Fire & Rescue.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Tiffany Jones.

He was preceded in death by his father, Duncan E. Jones; grandparents, Jessie and Sue Jones, Eldon and Kathleen Grady; uncles, Jeffery Jones and Cecil Wilcox; cousin, Tiffany B. Jones.

Left to cherish the many memories include his beloved daughter, Tiffany Elizabeth Jones; loving mother, Sharleen Jones Wall and companion Gary Moore; brother Barry Jones; step-father, Charles Wall; mother of his daughter, Courtney Jones Cass; grandfather, Billy Hewitt of Summerville, GA.; aunts and uncles, Toni (David) Ashe of Chatsworth, GA., Lynn (Tammie) Hewitt of Tunnel Hill, GA., Shirley (Tim) Ridley of Summerville, GA., Diane (Ray) Keeler of Tennga, GA., Tim Jones of Cleveland, TN., Bill (Teresa) Hewitt of Chatsworth, GA., and Jessie (Nancy) Jones of Benton, TN.; great aunt, Susie “Mamaw” Wilcox; special nephews, Lincoln and Elijah Disney; and a host of family and friends.

A Remembrance of Life service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, with Reverend David Ashe officiating.  Interment will follow at Tennga Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family and friends will gather from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
